SERVICE: I trained at Fannin from June 1945 to December 1945.  During training I contacted pneumonia, was in the hospital on base 6 weeks during, which time the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan and VJ Day occurred. I was then assigned to C/53/11 to complete training. In January 1946 I was assigned to the Army of Occupation and stationed in Frankfurt, Germany.  I rotated home and was discharged in November, 1946.
