TRAINING: Started  basic in  the 64 Battalion of the 13^th Regiment in September 1944.

SERVICE: 58^th Battalion of the 12^th Regiment on or about October 1, 1944.  Wounded while serving with C/276/70 in the ETO.

HOBBIES: Fannin Vet Carl A. Settle of Hampton, Virginia compiled a list of 687 men who trained in either or both the 58^th and 64^th  Battalions from September to December 1944, and now you can get a copy of that list here!  An indefatigable and highly-competent researcher, Carl compiled this list from source documents obtained from National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
