TRAINING:  I was with Company B, 54th Training Battalion,11th Regiment, arrived Sept.11,1943, and shipped out about the middle of March, 1944.  Training was completed on February 15, 1944 at Camp Fannin in Tyler, Texas. I was recruited from Littlefield, Texas. I was a volunteer.

SERVICE: 
I served with Co.D, 35th Regiment, 1st Battalion, 25th Division Reg. Infantry during the liberation of the Phillipines. My Company, Co. D, received the Presidential Unit Citation for their efforts during a night bonzai attack on Luzon. 

 

ABOUT ME:  I am a retired teacher and farmer. Wife is Naomi, children are Greg and Gayle, Gordon is deceased.
