Was sent over to France in
January of 1945 and reported to Audie Murphy of Co.B, 15th Regt, 3rd Inf Div
in Colmar France.
Went thru balance of France,
and into Germany and Austria where the war ended May 8, 1945. Stayed in
Germany in the army of occupation until June of 1946 when I was sent home for
discharge. I will always remember Camp Fannin.
